Becontree’s very own tea blend – “BeconTea” – is a satisfying, restorative and uplifting blend that gives you a heavenly cup of tea. It is a universal pick-me-up.
A perfect blend of Assam, Keemun and Ceylon teas offers malt, fruit and delicious sweetness, perfect for a lighter breakfast tea or to enjoy of an afternoon. Inspired by a stunning Victoria Sponge made by Becontree resident Denise this goes down a treat with a slice of cake!
Created with artist Sadia Ur-Rehman and the residents of the Becontree estate, Dagenham, through a series of workshops in late 2021, celebrating the centennial of the estate.
We absolutely loved meeting the wonderful residents of Becontree, talking tea and working together to create this delicious blend and attending the launch event in late March 2021.

Type: Black Tea Blend
Liquor: Dark copper
Aroma: Malty, caramel and light stonefruit
Flavour profile: Malty, fruity and gently sweet tea blend
Only 1 left in stock
Add 1-2 heaped teaspoons per cup (that’s around 3-4 grams) and pour on 100°C water straight off the boil.
Infuse the tea for 3-5 minutes and enjoy.
Adjust the brew time to suit your style.
Traditionally enjoyed with milk. We prefer just a dash, but you do you!
