Da Hong Pao (Big Red Robe)

“Warm crackling fires & an empty barn on a day when it’s too cold to ride the horses and a layer of snow-crust crunches under boots.” That’s the poetic description given by one of our wonderful customers upon first encountering this phenomenal tea.

Da Hong Pao – also known as Big Red Robe – is a king amongst teas. A Wuyi Rock tea and one of the Ten Famous Teas of China, it is a heavily roasted oolong tea that gives an intensely satisfying experience.

Wood, smoke and sweet with cacao, coffee, vanilla & yellow plum, with a long coffee last on the palate.

Full bodied and full of depth.

This tea is aged 5 years. Da Hong Pao is one of many teas that can improve with age, and this is certainly one of them!
