Lapsang Souchong (Traditionally Smoked)
Traditionally smoked Lapsang Souchong
Unfortunately, many Lapsang Souchong teas that we try taste chemically or overpowering with smoke flavour.
This traditionally smoked gem from one of the top Lapsang Souchong producers around (and the same producer as our highly rated Unsmoked Lapsang Souchong) is a world apart from these.
Fruity notes are complemented by, rather than overpowered by, natural smoke and woody tones with a long-lasting chocolatey cocoa finish. It is just plain delicious and incredibly moreish!
If you like Lapsang Souchong, try this and you’ll never look back.
Type: Black Tea
Where: Wuyi Mountain Range
Liquor: Dark oak, mahogany
Flavour profile: Dark fruit, natural oak smoke & tobacco
This is now the new standard in our house and it feels we've only just started with exploring the Batch range. OK, we still have Yorkshire for the first cup of the day but anything else needs more and Batch delivers.
Every tea I've had from batch has a subtle but noticeable difference from others making a tremendously superior brew
Add 2 heaped teaspoons per cup (that’s around 3-4 grams) and pour on 100°C water straight off the boil.
Infuse the tea for 2 - 3 minutes and enjoy.
Re-infuse 2 -3 times.
Don’t forget, you can adjust any of the measurements to suit your style!
